 Currently 20 percent of C&A’s customers are women, compared to Harley-Davidson Motor Company’s national average of 10 percent. The letter A in C & A — now in business for 21 years— stands for Adonna, owner and mother of general manager and part owner Dena. C&A’s female presence further extends into the MotorClothes®, Rider's Edge, parts and marketing departments. “I grew up in a family of riders where I was encouraged to ride, but not all women are as fortunate. Our staff and calendar of events reflect our dedication to fostering female riders,” said Dena. |
 Pictured above are owners Dena, Adonna, Kerry, and Barry. It seems a family that rides together stays together, as all four children have grown up around motorcycling. More than running a quick errand, the Besece family uses their bikes for long distance trips many of which have been alongside the C & A HOG Chapter.  Dena stands next to her father and part owner Carl. She jokes that, “Mom just needed a few more kids,” to round out the employee roster for C & A. Customers cannot tell who’s who of the Besece family though because everyone walking through the doors inevitably joins the C & A family. With the grand opening of our Rider's Edge Motorcycling Academy in 2008, we’re happy to not only supplement your H-D lifesyle, but also your safety. |
